Patient Safety
The Minneapolis VA Health Care System wants to ensure that its patients are cared for safely, while maintaining a safe work environment for employees. A Safe Patient Handling Program is being implemented to ensure the required infrastructure is in place. This infrastructure includes implementing a culture of safety, providing patient handling equipment, program elements to support use of this equipment, and employee training.
