The Minneapolis VA Health Care System opens a new St. James VA Clinic effective April 4 and a new clinic in Mankato on April 11.  These clinics expand services for Veterans in the South Central Minnesota area. Both clinics will be managed by the Sterling Medical Group under a contract with the VA. 

The St. James Clinic will be open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at 1212 Heckman Ct. St. James.  The St. James VA Clinic will provide enrolled veterans with primary and preventive health care medicine and mental health care services.

The Mankato clinic is located at 1961 Premier Drive Suite 330 Mankato, Minnesota in the Greater Mankato Business Development Center.   The Mankato VA Clinic will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., starting April 11, providing enrolled veterans with primary and preventive health care medicine and mental health care services.    For the past two years, the VA has offered mental health services in Mankato.

Dedication events are planned in St. James and Mankato on April 30 where the public will be able to tour the new facilities.

Currently, the Minneapolis VAHCS operates clinics in Maplewood, Rochester, Hibbing and Cook, MN, and Superior, Hayward, Rice Lake and Chippewa Falls, WI.

The Minneapolis VAHCS will be opening a clinic in Ramsey, MN, northwest of downtown Minneapolis, in November 2011.
