The Spinal Cord Injury and Disorder Center is located on the south side of the Medical Center.

Mission The Spinal Cord Injury/Disorder (SCI/D) Center will provide veterans with state of the art health care in a goal oriented, patient/family centered system that meets the holistic, lifelong health and psycho-social needs of the SCI/D veteran. We achieve this through collaboration with the VA integrated network of SCI/D Centers within the SCI/D Hub and Spoke System of Care.
Vision
The vision of the Minneapolis SCI/D Center is to enhance, maintain and restore functional independence of our patients by promoting participation in home, community life, recreational and vocational pursuits through an interdisciplinary team approach. We will continuously strive for excellence in SCI/D care through quality improvement, research, education and partnership with VA and community resources.

The Center was oficially dedicated Oct. 23, 2008.
