Changes to Visitor Policy (effective immediately until further notice)

(Updated March, 20, 2020) We care deeply about the safety and well-being of our Veterans, visitors and staff. As a result, we feel we need to implement a visitor policy to minimize exposure and provide guidance for all of you in these challenging times. As of Thursday, March 20, 2020 there will be no visitors across our health care system, we understand this will be challenging as we understand the benefits and needs of having visitors, we ask that you understand and support us in the decision. Please refer to the elements of the policy and noted exception.

Exceptions include:

  • As of 3/20/20 there will be no visitors to the VA facilities with a few compassionate exemptions for hospice or critical care. Visitors must be 18 years or older.
  • Patients at our outpatient clinics may be accompanied by 1 visitor if needed for care or assistance.
  • We are asking everyone at the Outpatient Entrance of the building about the following symptoms: New fever, cough and shortness of breath.
  • Please be kind to our screeners and greeters who are facilitating the process, it is an effort to keep you safe.
