Title: Adapting to Stress and Overcoming Trauma
Date/Time: 5/10/2021 12-12:45p

Virtual Location: MS Teams via Video Conference Link or Phone at 1-872-701-0185 (Conference ID: 348 645 867 #)
Description:
Many of us have been told to “adapt and overcome” but what does that really mean? Where I come from it means: “suck it up, get it done, and don’t complain.” Many of us "handle" our stress by continuously pushing through it, isolating, and/or using other unhealthy behaviors. In turn, this makes overcoming trauma difficult because our body and minds adapt to stress and the way we handle it. Please join me as I take you along my own personal recovery journey and the experiences I have had with adapting to stress and overcoming trauma. During this presentation we will cover: How stress and trauma affect the body and mind; and tips, tricks, and tools to lessen the effects of stress & trauma.
